Full Council
The main function of the council meeting is to approve the key plans and strategies of the Council that make up the 'policy framework'.
- Full council is made up of all 48 district councillors. It meets six times a year including an annual meeting in May
- The Leader, Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the council are appointed at the annual meeting and councillors are also appointed to committees after nominations from the political group leaders
- Meetings are held in the Council Chamber, Stratton House, High West Street, Dorchester
