Regeneration
In addition to individual building projects, councils are involved in area-based regeneration initiatives.
These aim to create more sustainable communities. The initiatives focus on areas where the need or pressure for development is high, and consider how best to integrate economic, social and environmental demands.
The other key factor in the success of these regeneration projects is the partnership working. We aim to work in partnership with private organisations, other public and voluntary organisations and agencies. They also fully involve the local communities in developing the plans for regeneration.
