Purbeck Transport Action Group (PTAG)
The Purbeck Transport Action Group (PTAG) covers the areas of Wool, Wareham, Corfe Castle, Bere Regis, Holton Heath, Swanage and Langton Matravers.
The Purbeck TAG has set up the Home Hopper service which is a scheme for people who have difficulty using public transport. The service is door to door. Members are transported between their homes and Wareham, using a specially adapted bus with a tail lift.
The Home Hopper service is part of the concessionary scheme so bus passes can be used.
The service operates on Thursdays serving Wareham, Sandford, Northmoor and Carey as well as running from Wool, Corfe Castle, Holton Heath and Bere Regis. There is also a Tuesday service to Swanage from Corfe Castle and surrounding areas.
For more details call (01258) 473154 on Monday or Tuesday between 2pm and 4pm.
The aim of PTAG is to provide a mouthpiece for all those interested in public transport within the area. We are supported by parish, district and county councils and have other interest groups sitting on the committee. We also have regular contact with bus and train operators.
