There are a number of wheelchair accessible schemes in Dorset that provide transport for people who find it difficult to use existing transport services.

  • AV & WD Ring & Ride Driver and Tailift: Link to Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring and RideAxe Valley and West Dorset Ring and Ride

    The Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring and Ride service uses a 15 seat, wheelchair accessible minibus with a tail lift. Those eligible to use the service include the elderly, people with disabilities and people living in isolated areas with no other transport facilities.

    NORDCAT is a charitable organisation which provides a door-to-door minibus service in the north Dorset area primarily for the elderly, disabled and socially excluded.

    Vision Wimborne is a charity aiming to improve life for people living in Wimborne Minster and surrounding areas. This is a dial-a-ride service for people with severe mobility problems and offers door to door transport from home to destination and return.
