Resources Committee

The Resources Committee ensures that the Council's resources, financial, IT and staff are effectively and efficiently managed to aid the achievement of the Council's policy objectives, to provide for the Council's long-term financial stability and to manage risk for the Council.

The Resources Committee has 12 members and meets every six weeks.

The Resources Committee is responsible for:

  • Governance
  • Risk management
  • Benefits
  • Local land charges
  • Elections
  • Financial management (including making a recommendation to council each year on the council's budget and council tax)
  • Internal and external audit
  • IT
  • Staff
  • Member services
  • Asset management
  • Support services
  • Mayoralty

Sub-Committees

The Resources Committee also has a Staff Appeals Sub-Committee which consists of 6 members and meets as and when necessary to consider Staff Appeals.
