Planning Control Committee

The Planning Control Committee makes decisions on applications for planning permission, certificates of lawfulness, listed building consent, consent for works to protected trees, conservation area consent, the enforcement of planning controls and the investigation and settlement of complaints concerning high hedges.

The first meeting of the Planning Control Committee was held on 14 October 2004. Prior to that the Committee was called The Regulatory Committee.

The council allows public participation at Planning Control Committee meetings, entitling members of the public who have previously registered an interest in an item, to speak at the meeting.
