Data by Area

Profiles of geographical areas, be they towns, districts, parishes, wards or settlements.

New 2011 Census data has just been released down to Parish level and below. This is currently being processed and will be made available on this website as soon as possible. Find out more about the Census Data Release - Timetable for Dorset.

More and more output is being produced at ever smaller geographical areas. The highest level is the Dorset Keyfacts information which gives details on the whole county. If you wish to identify the geographical area covered by various datasets, be they in districts; parishes; wards; census output areas; or postcodes use the layer tab in the Dorset Explorer mapping system.
