Parish Council Sub-committee
The Standards Committee has appointed a sub-committee to exercise the functions of the Standards Committee in respect of councillors of the town and parish councils within the West Dorset area.
This includes ensuring that councillors of town and parish councils maintain high standards of conduct through observation of the Members' Code of Conduct and the granting of dispensations to councillors from requirements relating to interests set out in the Code of Conduct.
The sub-committee is composed of:
- Two district councillors
- One independent lay member
- The parish member
All members of the sub-committee must also be members of the Standards Committee.
Meetings of the sub-committee are held as and when required.
