Accessing Millhams Household Recycling Centre

East Dorset residents now have unlimited access to Millhams Community Recycling Centre in Bournemouth, ending the voucher scheme. To use the recycling centre Dorset residents will need to show their council tax bill from East Dorset District Council when visiting the Bournemouth Borough Council facility.

The Dorset Waste Partnership has worked with Bournemouth Borough Council to allow residents unrestricted access to the centre. This puts an end to the voucher scheme, which let people living in the area apply for 15 vouchers per year to recycle their waste at the facility.

Residents living in a house of multiple occupancy or bed-sit type accommodation will need to obtain a copy of the council tax bill from their landlord or the property owner to gain access to the Millhams facility.

Vouchers will continue to be accepted at the site if existing holders wish to carry on using these until they run out.

Commercial type vehicles are unable to access the Millhams centre.
