Dorset Public Health report, 2005

The public health report aims to highlight the state of health on Dorset and look at recent achievements.

Joint Public Health report, Choosing Health in Dorset:

Solid progress is being made in tackling the some of the biggest threats to health in Dorset, including smoking, childhood obesity and sexually transmitted infections. The achievements are set out in the second annual public health report for Dorset, Choosing health in Dorset, a joint report by the three primary care trusts (PCTs) and Dorset County Council's Directorate of Social Care and Health. The public health report aims to:

  • provide an overview of achievements in public health in Dorset for 2005
  • set clear priorities for public health action by health and local authority partners
  • highlight the state of the health of people in Dorset on a range of key measures of health.
