Day Services for adults with a learning disability

Gardening at Christchurch Day Centre

Day care is at the centre of services we provide to help keep people independent and in their own homes.

We provide quality day services for adults with a learning disability including those who also have a physical disability. Our aim is to enable people to be as independent as possible, but also to provide a caring, supportive environment to those with profound and multiple disabilities. The services offer a wide choice of person centred social and educational courses both in our centres and the local community.

We also support people to find voluntary work or a paid job with the support of our vocational services team, Stepping Stones.

Accessing Day Services

If you think you would benefit from our Day Services, and you are a new customer or have no current involvement with us, please contact our Adult Access Team.  If you currently receive a service from us, please contact your social care local office.

Not everyone is eligible for our help; this would simply cost too much money.  To decide who we can help, we will look at your financial situation and your level of need.  To do this, we are guided by our Fair Access to Care Services criteria.  If you are eligible, we will tell you how much money we will ask you to contribute to your care. Most people make some contribution, many through a personal budget.
