Our Corporate Plan 'Our promises to East Dorset' is based on what our residents and businesses have told us is important about living and working in East Dorset. It sets out our commitment to addressing those areas they have identified as important and those that most need improving.
We have chosen a six-year Plan, 2010 -2016, as many of the issues cannot be resolved in a year, or even three years. Some will require a lot of initial work to set up new working arrangements, new partnerships and changes to existing policy. But, over the six years, we will work to ensure that we can meet our promises, whilst minimising any council tax increases.
Progress on how well we are meeting our objectives, will be reported through our household magazine, East Dorset News, and in an Annual Report which will be published in June each year.
