Christchurch and East Dorset Site Specific Allocations DPD

Once the primary planning framework has been developed in the core strategy, the councils intend to begin work on a Development Plan Document (DPD) which will work towards delivering some of the key aspirations of the core strategy through land allocations.

This document will allocate sites for such uses as new housing sites, employment land, open space, and sites which offer important mixed development opportunities, for example in town centres.  The document may also include detailed development management policies as required.

Production of the Site Specific Allocations DPD

Work on this DPD will not begin until progress has been made on developing the Core Strategy. The proposed key stages of the Site Specific Allocations DPD are yet to be finalised and will be set out in a revised LDS to be published later this year.
