These are kept by:

• Crematoriums for cremations

• Individual churches (opens in a new window) for burial records

• Town Councils (opens in a new window) for cemetery burials
  

Christchurch Borough Council keeps records of burials in its cemetery.

If you wish to know details of a burial in Christchurch's cemetery or you are researching your family history the council can search its records for you.

There is a charge for this service:

• £31.00 if you know the year of burial
• £51.70 if you do not

Please give us the name of the person whose burial details you are interested in and the year of burial if you know it.
