Education in the countryside
Educational resources available to teachers, families and individuals.
Dorset Countryside provides educational facilities at Durlston Country Park and Avon Heath Country Park. These include general sessions and curriculum-specific activities for children of school age.
Events organised by Dorset Countryside allow everyone to learn something new. Why not join one of the rangers on a bird walk during bird week?
The East Dorset Countryside Service provides educational facilities at Moors Valley Country Park.
As well as formal educational sessions there are other fun ways to get your children involved in wildlife, such as joining one of the holiday events at the country parks or joining a Watch group.
