Minerals and Waste Planning Policy

This section explains the work of Dorset County Council as Minerals and Waste Planning Authority.

Dorset County Council is responsible for the preparation of minerals and waste planning policy documents, termed collectively the Minerals and Waste Development Framework; the determination of minerals and waste planning applications within the county; and the monitoring of existing quarries and waste sites.

Planning policy documents are also prepared on behalf of Bournemouth Borough Council and Borough of Poole.
