Disabled parking (Blue Badge)
The disabled parking scheme (blue badge) provides a national arrangement of parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers.

Wherever possible children who are disabled should grow up within a stable family. Children's Services will support and work with your family with this aim in mind.

We provide care where necessary and give support to enable and encourage users of our services to reach their full potential in all areas of their lives.

We provide a range of services for people with a visual impairment or who are d/Deaf (d/Deaf is a term used to cover all people with some type of deafness and includes those who are hard of hearing, partially deaf or profoundly deaf).

Occupational therapists work with people with disabilities. They help them overcome the effect their particular disability has on everyday living.

Transforming adult social care in Dorset
The Government has provided Dorset County Council with £4 million funding over the next three years to transform the way adult social care is provided.

Autism is a lifelong developmental condition. It is part of the autism spectrum and is sometimes referred to as an autism spectrum disorder, or an ASD.

National bus pass for disabled people
Holders of a National Bus Pass enjoy free off-peak local bus travel anywhere in England. Some Dorset councils have extended this concession by allowing free travel all day.
