Slop Bog
Slop Bog offers a unique opportunity to get close to nature. You can walk across the sphagnum moss by using the boardwalks that run through the site.
Slop Bog is a Site of Special Scientific interest and is home to some very special wildlife including Bog Asphodel, Palmate Newt and several species of damselfly and dragonflies.

Look out for: Silver-studded blue butterflies, Marsh Gentians and Small Red damselfly.

Accessibility: Level. A circular route which includes a boardwalk can be accessed from West Moors road. This is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Other paths can be uneven or muddy in places, although passable with care and sensible footwear.

Access is from the public footpath from West Moors Road, Ferndown. (No designated parking)
