Information for us?
Our records are expanding and being up-dated constantly as a result of fieldwork, research and chance finds. You can contribute to this process by reporting any discoveries or by sending us reports on your archaeology and local history projects.
- flints or pottery fragments found on a walk?
- metal detector finds?
- a ditch profile seen in road works?
- bumps in a field?
- an historic building which may be at risk?
- features exposed during building restoration?
- the village pound or a lime kiln?
- tank traps or a pill box?
- timbers seen during a dive?
We need as much information as you can give, in writing, with as accurate a grid reference as possible. If you prefer, we can let you have a simple report form to complete. As well as new discoveries and projects, we are always in need of up-to-date information on known sites and monuments.
