Volunteering opportunities
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to come and work with us at the Ancient Technology Centre. It is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in a fantastic educational project as well as a chance to learn new skills.
Although much of the work is physical, there are plenty of opportunities for craft work. We can offer training in the traditional skills needed to maintain the Centre and we warmly welcome those people who have a skill they feel would benefit the Centre. If you have experience in carpentry, basket making, wood turning, weaving, tapestry, leatherwork, thatching, timber framing, hedge laying, spinning, dyeing, blacksmithing, or are enthusiastic and "hands on" we would like to invite you to become a volunteer.
We will hold regular volunteer days throughout the year. Please contact us if you would like to be involved.
