Permits are available to residents of the roads concerned only, and applicants must be registered for payment of council tax in order to qualify. Proof of residency will be requested from new applicants.

Permits cost £35 each with the exception of Millhams Street/Ducking Stool Lane, where the cost is £60 each and there is a maximum of two per household in all areas.

In Christchurch on street parking dispensations are available to allow contractors' and works vehicles to park in specified locations where waiting restrictions are in force.  See related article "On street parking dispensations in Christchurch".

Christchurch Borough Council will consider requests for residents' parking schemes and changes to waiting restrictions, which have the support of residents and the local council.
