Why hasn't my bus turned up?

To find out what has happened to your bus you will need to contact the company operating the service. If you are travelling on one of the major bus operators the contact numbers are listed below. If the bus company you are using is not listed below, please contact Dorset Passenger Transport using the information at the bottom of this page.

Is my local bus service accessible?

Public transport services are becoming more accessible with the county council encouraging the introduction of low floor vehicles and improving access at bus stops. This is an ongoing process but at present there are very few rural bus services that are advertised as a low floor accessible service. More low floor vehicles are around our county roads improving travel opportunities, however, few services guarantee an accessible service. For more information about your local accessible service please contact the operator concerned.

I want to complain about a bus or train service

Bus services - the majority of complaints should be taken up with the operator directly. However, you may feel that in some instances the county council is the appropriate authority, especially if the service is operated on our behalf. In these cases or if you are unsure, the Dorset Passenger Transport contact listed at the bottom of this page will be able to help you.

Train services - the train operating company should be contacted in the first instance. In Dorset there are two main operators who run over three different lines:
