Traffic Regulation Orders
Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) are required to introduce and implement disabled parking bays, speed limits, waiting restrictions, residents parking and on-street pay and display schemes.
They have to follow a legal procedure which includes:
- Consultation
- Public advertisement of draft notice and deposit of documents
- Drafting of order
- Authority to proceed (delegated authority or Roads and Rights of Way Committee/Cabinet)
- Making of order
