Leisure Development Fund

The Leisure Development Fund scheme provides financial support for groups to provide and develop projects that benefit the people of West Dorset. It is managed by the district council's Leisure & Tourism Division.

Grants are available for projects costing £1,000 or more with awards normally based upon 20 per cent of the estimated cost, up to a maximum of £5,000. 

Sports funding

West Dorset District Council's Sports Development Unit offers advice and support to developing sports organisations. It has three grant schemes to support sports projects and events; Small Grants for Sports, Leisure Development Fund and Rate Relief.

Arts funding

West Dorset District Council has a Cultural Development Officer who offers advice and support on developing arts and museums projects and applying for funding. The council has two grants schemes to support arts projects, events and equipment costs; Arts Development Small Grants Scheme and Leisure Development Fund.
