Christchurch Harbour and Quays

Christchurch Harbour extends from Mudeford Spit (Sandbank) in the east to the confluence of two rivers, the Avon and the Stour in the west.

It is an important area for nature conservation and is a designated SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). It is also a popular venue for a range of recreational activities including sailing, angling, bird watching and water sports. Christchurch and Mudeford Quays are also important recreational sites enjoyed by both residents and visitors.
