We've recently asked adopters to sum up their experience of adoption and here are some of the things they told us.
- Amazing, exhausting, exciting, heart wrenching, loving and giving – all in one great cake mixture!
- Adoption is like being in a boat - you set off with a fair wind behind you and full of enthusiasm - then the wind drops and you start to drift, unsure where you will end up; the wind then picks up again and you are off and so the journey continues, but as long as you keep smiling and everyone works together, you WILL reach your destination
