Salwayash - footway/safer route to school
Funding has been allocated through the Local Transport Plan, under the widening travel choice and managing congestion budget. The provision of a footway between the school and the village has been a long standing request by the parish council.
It has also been strongly supported by the school governors and forms a key part of the school travel plan.
Scheme Objectives
To create a footway from the school to the village. Utilising recycled and natural materials where possible and minimising the disruption to the natural environment.
The scheme is being designed in conjunction with Dorset County Council's Rural Roads Protocol.
