Non-members
You do not need to be a member to enjoy our facilities. For non-member charges please see the Activities leaflet above.
Concessionary charges
Recognising the benefits of exercise to health and social wellbeing for the local community, Purbeck District Council offers a range of concessions on some of the standard charges at Purbeck Sports Centre.
Concessionary rates apply to: | |
| Juniors - under 18s | The cost of hiring certain facilities - badminton, squash, tennis, table tennis, the Main Hall and the Astro Pitch - is cheaper for juniors up to and including the 7pm time slot. Rackets and balls etc. are available free of hire charge. Please note that the junior rate applies to a junior playing with an adult or two juniors playing with one adult. |
| Parent and child swimming sessions | During the special swimming sessions for parents and young children, only the adults pay. |
| Children swimming under 3 years | Swimming is free for under 3's during all public sessions. This concession will continue after the Free Swimming Scheme (see below) finishes. |
| Disability groups | Groups with any type of disability are encouraged to ask about concessionary charges for any activity. Please see contact details below. |
| Purbeck residents (and their immediate dependants) on low income | Residents receiving Income Support, Job Seekers' Allowance (Income based) or Employment and Support Allowance (Income related) are eligible for reduced prices for swimming and gym. Application forms are available from the centre or simply download the form on the right of the page, fill it in and return it to the centre. |
| Talented athletes resident in Purbeck | Those competing in their chosen sport at county level and above are encouraged to contact the centre with regard to tailoring an appropriate concessionary charge. Please see contact details below. |
Swimming
Gold Card holders can swim for free in all public swimming sessions
Diamond Card holders can receive huge discounts on regular swimming prices - £3.65 compared with £4.40 for adults, £1.95/£2.90 for under 18's and £2.10/£2.90 for over 60's
Diamond Card holders can also buy 12 credits for the price of 10
If your child is taking group swimming lessons, for an extra £3.00 a a month they can swim for free in all public sessions
