Introducing Sammie Strawberry
A six-foot tall lively red strawberry, Sammie Strawberry is the mascot helping to highlight and reduce the amount of waste thrown away in Dorset.
Promoting what can be done to reduce, reuse, recycle and compost materials, he often attends various roadshows throughout the county.
A regular at the Love Food Hate Waste roadshows, you may have already spotted him at supermarkets, town centres and other shopping areas this spring. Sammie Strawberry and the team have been out and about providing advice on how to reduce food waste, storage tips and measuring correct portions.
Sammie Strawberry can always be relied upon to raise a few smiles among shoppers and on occasion, can be found venturing up supermarket fruit and veg aisles.
