The service supports and promotes activities outside of the normal school day and across the county, there are numerous examples of the way in which schools and their partners have developed imaginative ways of working:

• Breakfast and homework clubs

• Family learning and basic skills

• Nursery, childcare and pre-school provision

• Youth activities and study support

• Summer schools and holiday activities

• Adult and community learning

• Sports, arts and ICT activities

DepARTure have produced a document entitled Extended Services Arts Offer (pdf, 263kb) (opens in a new window)  including a selection of projects across the art forms available from various artists and organisations who are prepared to carry out workshops after school, during holidays and at weekends. They cover a variety of locations across Dorset, covering all age groups and most are also available for family learning.
