Strategies, policies and plans at Purbeck District Council

The work of Purbeck District Council is guided by a broad range of strategies, plans and policies.

These documents define the targets that the council has set for its work, the methods and approaches we shall use in reaching these targets, and also the constraints within which we have to work. In addition these documents allow us to assess the progress we are making.

  • Homelessness Strategy

    The Homelessness Act 2002 required all housing authorities to carry out a review of homelessness in their area and to use the information obtained to publish a homelessness strategy.

  • Purbeck Heritage Strategy 2010-2015

    The new strategy is aligned with the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Management Plan and contains an action plan for the work of the Purbeck Heritage Committee to implement between 2010 and 2015.

  • Anti fraud and corruption

    The council is determined to protect itself from fraud and corruption, whether attempted from within the authority, or by an outside individual, group or organisation. To this end the council has developed this anti fraud and corruption policy to promote a culture of honesty and opposition to fraud and corruption.

  • Gambling Act 2005 - Statement of Gambling Policy

    In accordance with Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005, the Purbeck District Council has published a statement of its gambling policy. The 2005 Act repeals all previous legislation in relation to betting, gaming, lotteries and amusements.

  • Purbeck District Council asset management plan

    The council's asset management arrangements draw on the council's vision.

  • Purbeck Corporate Strategy 2011-2016

    Purbeck District Council's Corporate Strategy for 2011-16 is a long-term plan, setting out the council's corporate priorities for delivering its vision for Purbeck. This strategy links the work of the District Council with the priorities identified with its partners.
