North Dorset Arts and Culture

Art Gallery

North Dorset is home to a wealth of cultural organisations, enterprises and activities. Artists, craftspeople, food producers, farm shops, galleries and venues are located around the District, contributing to the area's sense of place and community.

What is North Dorset's aim?

North Dorset District Council aims to support arts and cultural activities primarily through Dorset Artsreach (opens in a new window) . We also see the arts as having a vital role within wider issues, such as community safety, the environment and economic development.

Our aim is to ensure that local people have access to a range of arts experiences, that involve professional and amateur artists, and that our cultural enterprises are supported as much as possible.
