Charlton Down Village Hall
Also known as Herrison Hall
The village hall is a blend of old and new with the re-development of the original Herrison Hospital ballroom and the addition of two purpose built wings. The large Ballroom with its picture windows overlooking the cricket ground is becoming a favourite venue for Weddings, Civil Partnerships and receptions. Completely restored in 2003, clients may take advantage of the wedding package that allows for use of all rooms on the event day plus storage for deliveries the day before and collection the day after. The Ballroom is a magnificent centre for weddings or receptions with two side rooms available for catering or children's area. The large 8 x 8 metre stage can be used in the evening to accommodate a band or discothèque where there is full stage lighting and P.A. equipment.
