The strategy has been prepared with direct contributions from businesses and business support agencies, so that their views are included in the document. It is made up of three documents:

The first is the evidence base (pdf, 945kb) (opens in a new window) which is compiled from research and consultation together with direct contributions from businesses and partner organisations.

The second is the strategy (pdf, 122kb) (opens in a new window) which highlights the issues drawn from the evidence base.

The third sets out an action plan (pdf, 672kb) (opens in a new window) which addresses those issues where we feel that it is able to target its resources and those of its partners to make the most difference.

The document is our adopted strategy and we would welcome any comments or suggestions that you may wish to make at any time by contacting the Regeneration Policy Manager.

We aim to support business growth in the District by knowing what business is conducted in the district by responding to the needs of existing businesses and by encouraging the development of new business or assisting with the import of business.
