Waste reduction and tips on saving money

Coins

Ways to save by reusing and recycling things around the house.

Household items

Furniture reuse organisations

If you are on a low income then you may be eligible to buy furniture and other household items from a furniture reuse organisation, which sell these items at vastly reduced prices.
Visit our Furniture reuse organisations webpage..

Reuse networks

Residents advertise items that they no longer want, for free, on these networks. All you need to do is collect the item.
Visit our Reuse networks webpage.

Give or take days

These local events are held in village halls etc. Residents can take along household items that they no longer want and swap them for free for items that they do want. It is not necessary to take along items in order to take home items.
Visit our Waste roadshows and events webpage for details of any Give or Take days in your area.

There are many different charity shops in the high street now, all offering great bargains.
