Case Studies - What difference are we making to people's live?
The council is committed to treating everyone with fairness and respect. We thoroughly explore the consequences of the decisions we make and tailor our services to ensure the different needs of different people are being met.
The case studies below explain how we are making a tangible and positive difference to the lives of local people, visitors and employees. Topics range from our efforts to ensure the London 2012 sailing events are inclusive and accessible for visitors, to working with faith groups to develop a 'Peace Garden' for the community, to providing employment opportunities for young people.
These case studies have been produced as part of work we are doing to meet the 'achieving' level of the
Equality Framework for Local Government (opens in a new window)
, which we are being assessed against in late November 2010.
