Complaints about Environment
Environment addresses the challenges of sustainable development in Dorset and is responsible for strategic planning, transport, economic and waste management.
The department is responsible for 2,475 miles of road and hundreds of acres of countryside for recreation and conservation purposes.

If you have any concerns about the service you have received from us, please contact a manager from that service in the first instance, most issues can be resolved at this stage.

If you are still unhappy you may wish to make a formal complaint. You can do this by writing a letter or sending an email to the Environment Complaints Manager. You can also fill out a
complaints form (pdf, 68kb) (opens in a new window) and send it to us.
The Complaints Manager or a member of his team will let you know that we have received your complaint within a week of receiving it. In the meantime the officer asked to deal with your complaint will talk to the staff concerned, and read any records held. They may wish, if you agree, to talk to you, or anyone speaking for you, so that they fully understand your complaint.
The manager will then write, within two weeks of your original complaint, to tell you the findings, and what action has been taken as a result. If the matter takes longer to resolve, we will let you know what is happening and will continue to do so at two weekly intervals.
