Car parking arrangements in Weymouth town centre during Games time. Information about short-stay and long-stay parking as well as cycle parking and Blue Badge provision.

Parking within Weymouth town centre will be limited. Residents are advised to use alternative methods of transport where possible. Visitors are advised to use the park and ride service or public transport

Short-stay car parking

Car parking will be available for residents in the following town centre car parks:

  • Melcombe Regis* (112 spaces)
  • Harbourside* (86 spaces)
  • Multi-storey (450 spaces)

 *These will be limited to a maximum stay of three hours. Pricing will remain set at its current level. Overnight parking will be available.

Residents can also use the Littlemoor park and ride run by the Olympic Delivery Authority.

Long-stay car parking

Long-stay and overnight car parking will be available at Lodmoor Country Park (300 spaces). This car park will be locked overnight for added security. This car park will be open to residents and visitors to the area.

Cycle parking

Over 500 additional cycle parking spaces will be available in the following locations:

  • Westham Bridge
  • Brunswick Terrace (Pier Bandstand)
  • The Nothe
  • The Swannery transport hub 

Motorcycle parking

Parking will be available for motorcycles in the Melcombe Regis and Harbourside car park and on Trinity Road, along with extra provision at Brunswick Terrace (Pier Bandstand) and behind Weymouth train station.

Overnight parking will be available at Lodmoor Country Park.

Blue Badge provision

Public car parking spaces will be available for Blue Badge holders in the Park Street car park and on-street within Park Street.

Residents who live within Custom House Quay and the Park District with current Blue Badge permits will still be able to park within those areas.
