What can I recycle?
We operate two different types of kerbside recycling collection systems in the district:
Kerbside Sort Recycling - Recycling is sorted at the kerbside into compartments in the vehicle Downloadable Sort Recycling Leaflet (pdf, 641kb) (opens in a new window)

Making it easier for the crew
To make collections as quick and efficient as possible please:
Separate your recycling in your kerbside box
Wash and squash all plastic bottles, food cans and tins to save space
Keep paper dry by placing it in a plastic bag
Please do not put broken glass into your kerbside box

- Bank Holiday Waste and Recycling in North Dorset
Waste and Recycling crews continue work as normal on all bank and public holidays, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day (or equivalent holiday).
