Christchurch Allotment Strategy

Allotments are a great asset for the people of Christchurch. If every resident in Christchurch who wants to have an allotment is to be given the chance to do so then we need to address the shortage of allotments across the borough. This strategy aims to increase the number and quality of plots to an achievable standard.

A draft of the Strategy was consulted upon between 12 December 2011 and 12 February 2012.  We have made a number of changes to the Strategy following analysis of the large amount of feedback we received during the consultation. Charges 2012

• £3.90 per rod (25m²)
• £19.50 half plot of five rods (125m²)
• £39.00 full plot of 10 rods (250m²)

The majority of plots on offer at present are five rods.

Charges 2013

• £4.20 per rod (25m²)
• £21.00 half plot of five rods (125m²)
• £42.00 full plot of 10 rods (250m²)
