Advice notes and guidance sheets
A series of advice notes and guidance sheets are available on protected species (for example, bats, otters, badgers), non-native invasive species and habitats in Dorset, with best practice guidance.

Biodiversity Officers Group (DBOG)
The main aim of Dorset Biodiversity Officers Group is to provide a forum for Local Authority planning officers and ecological advisors from Natural England, Dorset Wildlife Trust, Environment Agency and Dorset County Council to discuss and promote the conservation of the natural environment.
