Building control at Weymouth & Portland
If you have a query about any application(s) then please contact the Building Control section at Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
Whilst the final step in our role is to enforce the regulations, we prefer to work with our customers and give advice on how to best comply with the requirements. We encourage a pre application consultation, we find this is a very welcome service, as it can reduce the overall costs, as well as result in easier compliance.

If you require an inspection we would ask you to contact us before 10am on the day you require the inspection.
A building control surveyor will be available in the office between:
8.30am - 10am Monday - Friday
4pm - 5pm Monday - Friday
If you need to speak to a specific surveyor please arrange your call in advance to ensure they are available.
