Business - directories
Following feedback from the local business community, a business directory has been created to cover the Dorset area.
Why create a business directory?
The local authorities of Dorset have set up an online business directory in order to help local businesses to promote themselves and also to encourage local trade. Some businesses may only have a limited marketing budget and may struggle to promote their products and services. At the same time, local businesses may be struggling to find certain products and services locally.
How else will the directory be used?
The local authorities will also be able to use the business directory to communicate with local businesses on issues such as new initiatives or events and will also assist the economic development teams handle inward investment or trade enquiries. Such communication will be limited and the directory does allow users to personalise their preferences for receiving communication.
