Beaminster Childrens Centre Outreach Base
Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.
What we do
Beaminster Children's Centre is part of a cluster of centres in West Dorset and we work closely with Lyme Regis children's centre and Bridport children's centre
We believe that every child and family matters and we strive to give every child the best start in life. The child is at the centre of everything we do. We provide a happy, caring and welcoming environment where the whole family is supported. We value children's contributions and recognise that we have as much to learn from them as they do from us.
Find additional information on safeguarding children, how we assess children who need extra support and how you can volunteer at the centre on our essential information for all children's centres page.
We run a range of activities for families which you can find listed in our
Lyme Regis and Beaminster Children's Centre activities programme (pdf, 105kb) (opens in a new window)
. We also work closely with Midwives, Health Visitors, Social Care, Local Schools, Preschools, Toddler Groups and many other organisations and support services.
All our latest news can be found in the
Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis Children's Centre Newsletter (pdf, 1Mb) (opens in a new window)
Location and area covered
Beaminster Children's Centre office can be found in the Beaminster Youth Centre (opposite Danisco factory) on Prout Bridge.
We run some of our activities at the new Sports Pavilion next to the Memorial playing fields. The photo at the top of this page is of the Sports Pavilion in Beaminster. You can also find us at Broadwindsor Village Hall and the Coach and Horses Pub in South Perrott.
We run some of our activities from Bridport children's centre.
We have access to a shared mini bus that we may be able to use for people that have transport difficulties.
Parking
There is adequate parking at all of the places we run activities from. However there is no designated parking outside our offices. You may be able to find a space on the road, or alternately there is a small car park in the town square.
