Bridport Children's Centre

Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.

Overview

Bridport Children's Centre has been working with families since 2006 and the Children's Centre building was opened in November 2008.

The staff work across the whole cluster of Children's Centres.

We work closely with Midwives, Health Visitors, Social Care, Local Schools, Pre schools, Toddler groups and many other organisations and support services.

We provide a happy, caring and welcoming environment where the whole family is supported. We value children's contributions and recognise that we have as much to learn from them as they do from us"

Location and area covered

Our purpose built Centre is right next to St Mary's Primary School in Bridport and is opposite the sports centre. We work with families all over the Bridport, Bradpole, Loders, Netherbury and Symondsbury areas.

We work very closely with Lyme Regis and Beaminster Children's Centres as part of the West Dorset Children's Centre cluster. We run some of our activities at their Centres.

We have a mini bus that we may be able to use for people that have transport difficulties.

Parking

There is no designated parking outside the Children's Centre as this is for school staff. You will be able to park next to the Children's Centre at the West Dorset Council owned car park. The charge is 50p for all day.
