Broadmayne Childrens Centre

Broadmayne children's centre is for families with children under five years old and up to age seven where there is a specific need. We support families with a range of services and advice and run activities at the centre and surrounding areas.

What we do

Broadmayne children's centre is part of the West Dorset cluster of centres. We run weekly activities and courses in response to local demand. The children's centre has a fully equipped creche room and we support children's learning through play during the activities we offer. We have a wonderful sensory area, which the children just love to explore. We have lots of useful information that you can access whenever you need it. You can access the internet on one of our Laptops that we provide for families to use.

Location and parking

We are located in the village of Broadmayne on the grounds of the First School and share a building with West Knighton Pre-School. As well as running activities at the children's centre, we take activities out to the surrounding area such as Crossways Youth Centre, Crossways Library and Dorchester Youth Centre. We run joint activities with Dorchester children's centre such as stay and play.

There is free parking available outside the school, and hourly public bus services from Dorchester to Broadmayne.

The centre is also a drop off and collection point for the Treats toy library. We are open from 9am to 4.30pm. Please feel free to drop into the centre to meet the staff and have a look round.
