North Dorset Outreach Base - Sturminster Newton

Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.

Overview

Sturminster Newton outreach base is is part of the North Dorset cluster of children's centres. Groups and activities are held at the Youth Centre or Health Centre and include:

Messy Play
Drop In Sessions
Baby PEEP (Peer Early Education Partnership)
Breastfeeding Support Group
Play days during school holidays

Parents and carers can also access our outreach workers, who can provide additional support or direct you to other professionals.

Children's Centre Open Day-17 May 2013

Each Children's Centre in North Dorset is having an Open Day on Friday 17 May 2013. Sturminster Newton Outreach base will operate an open day at Sturminster Library from 2.00pm-4.00pm where anyone can drop in to see what Children's Centres activities are offered in the area, childcare information and family support service information.

Location and area covered

The office is located in the Annexe in Bath Road, which is next to the Red Cross Building. We cover Sturminster Newton and the surrounding areas of Gibbs Marsh, Stallbridge, King's Stag, Hinton St Mary and Manston. There is plenty of free parking at the Annexe including disabled spaces.

We work closely with the other Children's Centres in Gillingham Children's Centre, Shaftesbury Children's Centre and Blandford Children's Centre.
