North Dorset Outreach Base - Sturminster Newton

Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.

Overview

The Sturminster Newton base is part of the North Dorset cluster of Children's Centres. 

The centre has an office base in Bath Road. Groups and activities are held at the Youth Centre or Health Centre and include:

  • Messy Play
  • Drop In Sessions
  • Baby PEEP (Peer Early Education Partnership)
  • Breastfeeding Support Group

We also run a number of play days throughout the year during school holidays.

Parents and carers can also access our outreach workers, who can provide additional support or help to direct you to other professionals. We work closely with the other Children's Centres in Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Blandford.

Location and area covered

The office is located in the Annexe in Bath Road, which is next to the Red Cross Building. We cover Sturminster Newton and the surrounding areas of Gibbs Marsh, Stallbridge, King's Stag, Hinton St Mary and Manston.

Parking

There is plenty of free parking at the Annexe including disabled spaces.
