West Moors Children's Centre

Children's Centres aim to give all children the best possible start in life and enable parents to support their child and family. They act as a central point where families can access information and a range of services.

Overview

Welcome to West Moors Children's Centre.

We offer a range of activities for children under five and their families including:

  • Messy Play

  • Stay and Play

  • Baby Feeding

We provide specific support for families with our Young Parents Group, Incredible Years Parenting Programme and regular Multi-Birth and Baby Feeding Groups.

To ensure families can access the very best support and information possible, we work in partnership with a number of other professional agencies including Speech and Language, Health Visitors, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and the Parent Support Advisor Service. We have strong links with local school communities. We are open Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year. 

Location and area covered

West Moors Children's Centre is located on the grounds of West Moors Middle School in the old Caretakers Bungalow. Action for Children also run Children's Centres in Ferndown, Verwood, Wimborne and Corfe Mullen, which forms the East Dorset Cluster. Our services and activities extend across the East Dorset area.

Parking

There is free parking available on site.

We provide a termly calendar detailing where and when our sessions will be. You are welcome to drop in at our centres or contact us if you would like more information.
