Christchurch has a variety of parks and open spaces ranging from beaches and nature reserves to recreation grounds and sports pitches.

Events

Throughout the year a variety of events are held on the open spaces in Christchurch Borough. See our 2012 events list (pdf, 2Mb) (opens in a new window)  for further details. If you would like to hold an event, please download and complete the application form (pdf, 213kb) (opens in a new window)  or contact us to apply to us for a licence.

Use of open spaces policy

We want to encourage local people to enjoy our open spaces and get the best use from them, without adversely affecting nearby residents.

Our Use of Open Spaces Policy (PDF, 651kb) (opens in a new window)  outlines the type of events and activities permitted on open spaces managed by us. It also stipulates any restrictions that may apply, such as frequency and duration of events.
