North Dorset Ward community profiles
We have commissioned community profiles for each of the 28 wards in North Dorset to improve our knowledge of the wards and key parishes in the district. These detailed profiles will help to identify and measure key social and economic differences and any significant gaps within the district.
The profiles provide the most up-to-date information available across the following areas:
- Location and facilities
- People
- Inequalities
- Environment and quality of life
- Housing
- Learning and knowledge
- Access
- Local Economy
In most areas the data is less than three years old and has been compiled from a wide range of sources to provide a comprehensive picture of each ward. It is recognised, however, that where we are reliant on information from the National Census, some data sets are going to be significantly out of date and cannot be revised until the information is released from the recent National Census. Further useful data will be added to the profiles including high level customer satisfaction information when it is available.
The profiles are intended for everyone who has an interest in the area and will be particularly useful for setting priorities, the completion of funding bids and evaluating how to make best use of resources.
